Sisterlocks™

More Hair! Studio performs the highest standard of Sisterlocks™ services. Our Premier Sisterlocks™ are offered as a three visit package consisting of:


#1. The Consultation – During this session we will discuss your personal hair history, your lifestyle, your styling preferences and perform a hair and scalp analysis in order to determine if Sisterlocks™ is a good fit for you. If you are a candidate for Sisterlocks™, sample locks will then be installed in your hair. Your hair should be clean and free of any products for accurate determination of installation implementation. Your appointment is then scheduled for a suitable time to perform the full installation.


#2. The Locking Session – Your second visit is the complete locking session of your Sisterlocks™. Your consultant is very meticulous and will take her time to make sure to use the appropriate techniques for your curl pattern, that your partings are uniform and that the sizing is accurate for your density to allow you to have 500+/- locks. This will allow you to have numerous styling options. Your individual installation may take two or more days to complete. Suggested uses of this time is to bring reading material, your laptop if you have work to catch up on (we have WIFI), DVDs to watch, or feel free to bring songs of you listening pleasure (be sure to bring a headset for these audio options). Or you may just meditate and rest during this rejuvenating process. Our serene and peaceful environment is conducive to allowing this to be your restorative time if you prefer. Installation time is based on your curl pattern, the length and density of your hair. After the installation is complete, your hair will then be styled (style determined by length). And finally a follow-up visit will be schedule.


#3. The Follow-Up – Your newly installed Sisterlocks™ will be monitored to insure that they are forming correctly. Your follow-up visit includes a full retightening session which can take approximately 4 hours +/- ($150+ value). Your hair will be braided, banded and shampooed prior to retightening. An appropriate retightening scheduled will then be determined for your hair type and growth.
