Meet Our Team
Kirigo Director of Education, Sr. Stylist, Sisterlocks™Kirigo, is a 23-year natural hair care veteran, a master stylist and natural hair coach. Kirigo’s former salon, Natural Images, was a hit on the Baltimore natural hair scene for almost a decade, attracting clients from all over the east coast. She specializes in natural hair education and consultations for adults and children and is a sought-after speaker and workshop facilitator known for her positive energy and inspiration as well as her in-depth knowledge of all things hair.
Marchel Master Loctitian, Stylist Jamaican born, Marchel was raised in New York and has been natural for 11 years. She earned her Sociology bachelor’s degree in 2003 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. She has been professionally styling natural hair since 2008, beginning her trade at Dreadz n Headz. Marchel has worked numerous hair shows in Baltimore, Atlanta, Richmond, New York, Philadelphia and Chicago. Her specialties are lock maintenance, creative lock styles, starter locks, double strand, flat twist and coils.
Tekesha Stylist, Sisterlocks™Tekesha has been a stylist for 17 years. In 1994 she began working at the Hair Cuttery as a shampoo assistant while attending cosmetology school. Upon completion of the program she quickly became a stylist. Known for her outgoing personality and welcoming spirit, Tekesha takes the time to cater to her clients to ensure that she has met all their needs. Experienced with all types of hair, she became fascinated with maintaining healthy hair for her clients and herself. In 2005 she transitioned her style from relaxed hair to natural. Since her natural journey began she has been using this platform to promote natural hair care and the enhancement of natural beauty.
Malik Sr. Stylist Malik, a D.C. native, is a licensed cosmetologist. He is a new comer to the More Hair Studio team, but a trailblazer in the Natural Hair and cosmetology world. He has recently returned to the DMV area from Atlanta where he was owner of Yaffa Natural Hair Studio for 8 years. In his 16 year of styling he has worked in Bermuda, Miami, and N.Y. He is a second generation hair stylist. He also has styling and educating experience with multiple product brands such as Kemi Oyl, Ashea, Vidal Sasson, Aveda and Cultured Naturals product companies. He specializes in Herbal hair care, precision haircuts and customized hair coloring. As a Master Loctitian Malik is proficient in creative lock styling and maintenance as well as all types of natural hair.
